Flexible Ducts

Description

The Insulated Flexible Ducts (IFD-S and IFD-D) are designed for HVAC systems to facilitate efficient and safe air distribution. These ducts are insulated with high-density yellow fiberglass and protected with a two-layer laminated aluminum and polyester outer jacket, reinforced with glass fiber. They are easy to install, requiring no special tools, and are fire resistant, non-toxic under high heat, and lightweight.

Applications

  • Used in residential and commercial HVAC systems to distribute conditioned air from main trunk ducts to diffusers and vents

  • Ideal for branch line connections where rigid ductwork is difficult to install

  • Suitable for supply and return air applications in low- to medium-pressure systems

  • Provides thermal insulation to minimize heat loss or gain and improve energy efficiency

  • Reduces condensation formation in cooling systems

  • Helps attenuate noise and vibration between air handling units and room outlets

  • Commonly used in ceiling voids, attics, and confined spaces due to flexibility and ease of installation

  • Effective for retrofitting existing duct systems

  • Compatible with air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems

  • Frequently applied in residential buildings, offices, retail spaces, hospitals, and light industrial facilities
