Insulated
Flexible Ducts
Description

The Insulated Flexible Ducts (IFD-S and IFD-D) are designed for HVAC systems to facilitate efficient and safe air distribution. These ducts are insulated with high-density yellow fiberglass and protected with a two-layer laminated aluminum and polyester outer jacket, reinforced with glass fiber. They are easy to install, requiring no special tools, and are fire resistant, non-toxic under high heat, and lightweight.
Applications
-
Used in residential and commercial HVAC systems to distribute conditioned air from main trunk ducts to diffusers and vents
-
Ideal for branch line connections where rigid ductwork is difficult to install
-
Suitable for supply and return air applications in low- to medium-pressure systems
-
Provides thermal insulation to minimize heat loss or gain and improve energy efficiency
-
Reduces condensation formation in cooling systems
-
Helps attenuate noise and vibration between air handling units and room outlets
-
Commonly used in ceiling voids, attics, and confined spaces due to flexibility and ease of installation
-
Effective for retrofitting existing duct systems
-
Compatible with air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems
-
Frequently applied in residential buildings, offices, retail spaces, hospitals, and light industrial facilities
